  1. I hear the computerized poker games in the casinos have their randomization adjusted so you are more likely to have an almost good hand, but just as likely to have an actual good hand.

Wasn’t Marvel’s Ultimate & Knights lines kind of remakes?

Knights, no, Ultimates, kinda. I’m talking about specific stories. Ultimate Spider-Man did a Clone Saga, so I guess that counts.

  2. Do you know what the story was with Doctor Doom before & after this because they hint that he might have been dead before it (Reed Richards says he thought Doom was dead) & it seems like he should be afterwards. & hey, is Galactus dead?

If I remember correctly, to read Secret Wars II properly you only have the nine issues of the mini-series, but about 30 tie in issues from every Marvel comic of the time. I’m not sure if it’s done so reading the nine issues alone makes sense or not. I do remember a plot where he makes Daredevil see, but it seemed pretty awful to me even when I read it & as much as this sucked compared to memory, I don’t want to try that. My main memory is thinking that “the white event” that gives all the super powers to folks in the New Universe was a tie in to the finale of SWII, but then it ended up it was from an old man trying to kill himself on the moon….

It’s been ages since I read the Fantastic Four books from that era, so I have no idea what was going on. SWII is something I’d probably avoid unless Jason does wind up picking it for a future episode. Right now, I’m a little Secret Wars’ed out.

Eric, I’m with you on the uselessness of the cross Ohio train. How many people really go from Cleveland to Columbus, or Columbus to Cinci? I dont think those people commute to work.
