  1. American Psycho is interesting because I read it about five years before the movie & was totally upset by their take on the level of comedic it was. Maybe if I saw it first I would see them working well together like I do Fight Club….

Hitchcock is pretty hit or miss film maker in my opinion when you start to see the non-famous movies. But, hey, to complete one good movie is admirable.

I guess this Wonder Woman costume is slightly better than her white jumpsuit in the 1970s. Or maybe not, hard to say….

I hope this week goes better for you Eric. Maybe you can get abducted a la Den of Earth.

The recipe is for veggie burgers:
    1 can black beans
    1 can red beans
    1 can corn
    1 egg (for binding)
1/2 cup dry oatmeal (not instant)
1 diced & carmelized bell pepper
spices (black pepper or curry or whatever you like) to taste
leave mixture raw (except for bell peppers or if you want to add mushrooms (which need most of the liquid cooked out of them) or spinach, cook these as well) & mix together with your hands breaking up the beans slightly until everything is homogenous.
The secret part: get two “burger sized” tupperware containers that fit into each other & put plastic wrap in one, put a bunch of the stuff in the plastic wrap, fold plastic wrap over covering the mixture, put second container on top of the stuf & smash it down to compress the burger, put burger (still in plastic wrap) on a cookie sheet for 20 minutes to set or leave frozen.
Note: Burger not sturdy enough to cook on a grill, experiment with times for microwave cooking. Take care flipping in a pan, they’re a little delicate compared to the factory made ones.

If I became Den of Earth, I’d be a pretty mediocre movie and voiced by John Candy’s corpse. No one wants that.

I might actually take a shot at that veggie burger recipe. How much does that make?

  2. How many it makes depends on how big you mashing container is, but I think last time I did it, it made about 20, which is pretty good for spending about $5.

can it be baked in an oven?

  3. I think so. I haven’t tried it in the oven though.
