Nothing funny here. Just go read Asterios Polyp.

This week on the show, Jason and I review David Mazzucchelli’s debut(?!) graphic novel and masterpiece, Asterios Polyp. We also make the decision to try to be drunk more when recording, have dinner with our former Mayor at a restaurant staffed with psychic Mexicans. I declare that I’ll never see Avatar, and review the movie Big Fan. Finally we wrap up by discussing old people fuckin’.

More fun than a coven of donkeys.

This week on Gutter Trash, we review Charles Burns’ decades in production comic, Black Hole, and gush over his absolutely perfect artwork. We also think of dream directors for an adaptation of the book. I also bring you Tales From Indiana, Jason and I discuss Angry Danzig and his claws, giant horse cock vs. Jesus, and go on an adventure with my wireless keyboard. Finally we talk about Guy Davis’ The Marquis, and Brian Bolland’s terrible cover art.

Episode 3: Brain is Hanging/Choke

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Recorded on October 14, 2008.

Choke

It’s the angriest episode yet as Eric and Jason have their first recorded spat as they review the graphic novel My Brain is Hanging Upside Down by David Heatley. Then the guys take another field trip and review the new Chuck Palahniuk adaptation, Choke, and Eric realizes that he’s being stalked by idiots whenever he sees movies at the theater.

Episode 3: Poorly edited.

Music by Legbone, Black Wolf Fight, The Ramones, and the Misfits (kinda).
