Episode 50: The Lookout

Recorded on October 22, 2009.

Hey look, it’s a milestone. Kinda.

This week on a super sexy episode of Gutter Trash, we lift the “nwwwaaahhh” ban and review The Lookout, our second noir film starring Joseph Gordon Levitt. We wonder where the other non-Lithgow members of the 3rd Rock from the Sun cast are, contemplate issuing out cards describing individual mental problems, whether or not we should watch G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra and Jason gets violated – criminally. All this and I admit to Twittering. Follow us (me) at @guttertrash_net.

There’s gold in them thar podcasts.

This week on Gutter Trash, we review Joe Kelly’s comic I Kill Giants, featuring a surprising lack of giants and suprising abundance of awesome. We show Keith Giffen some love and wished he loved us back, we contemplate blackmailing Chris Ware, I defend The Walking Dead and Image Comics, and Jason gushes about Dungeons and Dragons. Join us as we introduce a new segment to the show: Stripper Chat, where we talk about creepy old stripper veterans and the Junior Stripper Association.

Episode 48: Perfume – The Story of a Murderer

Beyoncé you can’t handle me.

On an aberrant episode of Gutter Trash, we review Tom Tykwer’s Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, starring some guy, Rain Man and Hans Gruber. We also discuss Roy Rogers, the great investment that is comic books, and canned mushrooms. I really can’t remember this episode too well, and the audio was terrible. Does anyone miss the “previously on”s?

Episode 47: Jenny Finn

Recorded on October 1, 2009.

And… Take Two.

This is absolutely the best experience we’ve ever had recording an episode. We reviewed Mike Mignola’s quirky Jenny Finn, we’re drunk off our asses, and good goddamn, we brought the fuckin’ funny.

Until I deleted the first half of the episode.

We re-recorded it, it’s not as good, but you never can top perfection. The last half of the show is from the original recording session, so if the show is disjointed or we refer to things with no context, now you know why.

Episode 46: The Fall

Recorded on September 24, 2009.

We did it. We broke 90 minutes.

This week on a heavily edited Gutter Trash we review the film The Fall directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Lee Pace. Jason falls asleep, and I cry like a pussy. I also talk about the new Dethklok album, and we recount our adventures in Chicago for the Windy City Comic Con, which includes awesome Salsa albums, dirty comics, my insane relatives and gorgeous Scandinavian women. Trust me you didn’t want to hear the full version.
