Delay!

Episode 46 is really really fucking long. Really long. I don’t feel comfortable putting a 90+ minute episode up, so I’m gonna have to actually do some editing. It will be up as soon as possible. Thanks!

Happy One Year Anniversary!

This week on Gutter Trash, we celebrate one year of mediocrity by reviewing the Marvel Comics adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, Eric Shanower and Skottie Young. We compare this adaption to the film version, I forget Judy Garland’s name, and then compare ourselves to the Oz characters we’d like to be vs. which ones we mostly likely are. We also discuss art shows, Disney, festivals and waiting ’til 3:00 am for the police.

All Hail Satan!

Aww, fuck yeah! Horns up! This week on Gutter Trash, we let our freak flag fly and review Sam Dunn’s ROCKumentary (yeah, that’s right, I took the word documentary and replaced “doc” with “rock”. Bet you’ve never seen that before) Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey and get even nerdier than we do about comics. We talk about our favorite metal bands, our least favorite metal bands, the most ridiculous metal bands, and the metal bands that have no sense of humor (hello, Norway!). I think we actually stay on topic for most of the episode!

Like a sucker punch, only you’re aware, and it’s more like a tickle.

This week on Gutter Trash, it’s a case of mistaken identity as we review the anthology Low Moon by Jason, but not the Jason that co-hosts this show, and definitely not the hockey mask Jason who kills people. But either Jason could be that Jason. And the other two could be Norwegian. You never know. Anyhoo, Jason (My Jason) and I also try out a new format for the show and review some fruit. We also talk about the awesomeness of beat-up comics, Strange Tales and a $50 Fathom comic at “Half-Price Books”. We also review the newish Green Lantern animated DVD, and talk about writing fan letters to comics.

Episode 42: Batman – Mask of the Phantasm

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah.

On this angry episode of Gutter Trash, we review our first animated movie, and first recognizable comicbook adaptation, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. This gives us an opportunity to discuss Bruce Timm’s awesomeness, but we fail to do so. We argue over whether Mark Hamill is good or not, and ponder cartoons made into theatrical movies. We also touch on CG animation vs. traditional, and Pixar vs. Everyone. In addition, we also discuss Stryper’s new album, Schweppes beverages and the long history of Mullets.
